We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to Data Warehouse development project consisting of development of a modern data platform built on Databricks utilizing SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC).

You will be designing and implementing solutions to extract, transform, and load SAP finance data into our enterprise data warehouse, working hands-on in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines to integrate SAP finance and general ledger data into Databricks using SAP Business Data Cloud
- Build and optimize (Bronze), Silver, and Gold data layers within Databricks
- Develop data models and architectural solutions for SAP data integration (not just theoretical designs, but working implementations)
- Collaborate with BI teams on reporting requirements and data accessibility
- Contribute to defining SAP data requirements and integration interfaces as the project progresses
Required Experience
- Expertise/familiarity in SAP data models and SAP finance data extraction
- Proven experience with Databricks
- Hands-on data engineering skills with demonstrated ability to write production-grade code
- Experience with data transformation and ETL/ELT processes
- Ability to work independently while designing solutions with minimal detailed specifications
- Understanding of data architecture principles and best practices
- Experience with SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) (not mandatory, but highly appreciated)
- Good communication skills in English (Finnish not required)
The client would prefer working at the Helsinki office from time to time.
