This is a small-allocation, ongoing advisory engagement where you will work closely with the company’s CEO and CTO, as well as an external Shopify developer, to design and implement AI-driven commercial capabilities.
The company operates a Shopify-based webshop in a high-SKU, multi-geo environment and is now systematically investing in AI, analytics, and modern data infrastructure to improve sales performance, customer understanding, and operational efficiency.

Role Overview
As an AI Advisor, you will act as a strategic and hands-on partner for leadership, helping translate commercial ambitions into practical AI and data initiatives. Your focus will be on:

- Sales and customer analytics
- Commercial performance optimisation
- AI use case identification and prioritisation
- Data architecture and data warehouse enablement
- Practical AI deployment supporting scalable growth
You will operate at the intersection of business, data, and technology, with direct exposure to top management decision-making.
Required Competencies
Required Competencies
- Strong experience advising e-commerce businesses on AI and data-driven commercial development
- Solid understanding of Shopify data structures and ecosystem
- Proven experience with:
- Sales analytics
- Customer segmentation and LTV modelling
- Conversion optimisation
- Marketing attribution and performance tracking
- Experience building or advising on data warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar)
- Experience applying AI/ML models in commercial contexts (forecasting, churn prediction, recommendation systems, pricing, etc.)
- Understanding of end-to-end e-commerce data flows (marketing → webshop → fulfilment → CRM → analytics)
- Ability to work effectively with both executive leadership and technical developers
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current AI and data maturity
- Define an AI & analytics roadmap aligned with commercial goals
- Design and guide implementation of sales and customer analytics models
- Support data warehouse and reporting architecture decisions
- Identify and validate high-impact AI use cases (e.g. personalization, dynamic pricing, demand forecasting, customer support automation)
- Guide integration between Shopify, marketing platforms, warehouse systems, and analytics stack
- Act as a sparring partner to CEO and CTO on data-driven commercial strategy
Working Model
- Fully remote
- Small part-time allocation, flexible based on availability
- Close collaboration with CEO, CTO, and external Shopify developer
- Strategic impact in a high-growth scale-up environment
Working Languages
- Finnish considered an advantage
- English required
