In this role, you will:
- Design and build security monitoring, vulnerability management, and hardening capabilities rather than simply maintaining an existing function.
- Implement and optimize a cloud security platform, including Wiz and Wiz Code, while strengthening secure SDLC practices such as threat modeling, dependency management, secrets management, and CI/CD controls.
- Lead hands-on AWS security work across IAM, network segmentation, encryption, key management, logging, and secure configuration baselines.
- Develop and tune detections, onboard and normalize log sources, support incident response, and assess coverage against frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
- Support security assurance and compliance efforts including ISO 27001:2022, C5, SOC 2, GDPR Article 32, and the HIPAA Security Rule through control design and evidence creation.
You will thrive if:
- You have strong hands-on AWS security experience and can translate cloud risks into practical technical controls.
- You enjoy building security programs from the ground up, including architecture, roadmaps, KPIs, and measurable control improvements.
- You are comfortable working across engineering, IT, compliance, and external partners, and can explain technical risk in clear business terms.
- You bring experience in areas such as SIEM, detection engineering, vulnerability management, incident response, and penetration testing.
- You work well in regulated environments and understand how to align security engineering with audit and compliance requirements.
