Rather than starting from scratch, you’ll build on existing AI Champions and exploration work already underway, pushing adoption further, shifting culture, and refining existing guidelines into an adaptable, forward-looking policy framework.
In this role, you will:
In this role, you will:
- Report to the Director/Head of IT and work closely with IT Service Specialists, IT Security, Legal/DPO, and studio leadership across Dev, Game Content, and Marketing.
- Catalyze business transformation and AI adoption across teams, establishing sustainable governance and guardrails rather than one-off fixes.
- Drive change management and cross-functional AI governance, operationalizing a dual-responsibility model where IT manages software contracts and lifecycle while designated Business Owners stay accountable for each tool’s utility, adoption, and ROI.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to surface and capitalize on synergy opportunities across units, and define high-level strategy for centralized access, identity alignment, and user onboarding across AI platforms, partnering with IT on adoption.
- Set high-level guidelines for usage oversight, project cost visibility, and resource optimization across studio and project teams, and establish guardrails and change-management principles for IP and data protection across public tools, enterprise instances, and localized workflows.
- Build on existing AI Champions and policies (e.g. the Generative AI Policy and Systems and Tools Policy) to refine the AI Usage & Sourcing Policy together with Legal/DPO and Security, including supporting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for enterprise AI tools.
- Codify the operating mandate that all IT/AI tool contracts are procured and managed by IT, while every tool has an assigned Business Owner responsible for business justification, user enablement, seat allocation, and value realization — and build a user-friendly risk-classification matrix (e.g. low-risk productivity AI vs. high-risk specialized tools) to streamline intake approvals and let teams innovate safely.
- Build the standardized intake and review workflow inside IT, then train and embed it into IT Support so there’s zero dependency on external consulting after month 6.
You will thrive if:
- You have real experience driving AI strategy and governance change inside an organization — not just writing policy, but getting it adopted.
- You’re comfortable operating at the intersection of strategy, architecture, and change management, and can work credibly with IT, Security, Legal/DPO, and business/studio leadership alike.
- You can build practical governance frameworks (risk classification, intake workflows, ownership models) that teams actually use, rather than frameworks that sit on a shelf.
- You’re comfortable handing over what you build — the goal is for IT to run everything independently after this engagement ends.
- You’re available to start as soon as you’re free — the client is prioritizing finding the right person over an earlier start date.
- You can commit to something close to full-time allocation — 100% is ideal, 80% also works, but less than that isn’t enough for this engagement.
- You’re comfortable being on-site in Helsinki 2–3 days/week.
This assignment supports a games studio’s six-month AI strategy and governance engagement, reporting to the Director/Head of IT. It’s expected to start as soon as the right candidate is available, running for 6 months at roughly 80–100% allocation, on-site 2–3 days/week.
