The cooperation between Finitec and Pohjantähti started in the autumn 2019, based on Pohjantähti's need to replace its VoIP system and tender for a new solution. The aim was to extend the VoIP solution's functionality while keeping the system's cost affordable. As the project was complex and there were many potential service providers, the project required a manager with detailed knowledge of VoIP solutions, tendering, and good interpersonal and management skills.
Finitec was selected as the supplier after offering Kimmo Mäkipaaso as the project manager. Kimmo's selection was based on the right skills, personality, and good references from similar projects. Finitec convinced Pohjantähti with a professional and firm approach: the information provided was comprehensive, the communication was clear, timely, and pleasant, and the cost and contract models were clear.
The project was completed successfully and on time. The objectives were well met regarding both the quality of customer service and the scope of activities. In terms of costs, the objectives were exceeded by achieving an overall cost level lower than the previous solution.
