We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Data Scientist for a PoC project with an international industrial company. The objective is to improve installed base data quality by matching incomplete customer information with existing customer and site data. The required datasets are available in Snowflake.

The objective of the PoC is to develop a solution for reliably linking equipment in the installed base to the correct customers and physical sites.

The expert will design and implement a matching algorithm that uses company names and address information from delivery-related data to identify the most probable corresponding customer record in master data. In defined cases, the matching process will continue from the identified customer to the most probable physical site.

The PoC is expected to deliver:

A working algorithm for matching customer and site information
Identification of the most probable master data record based on company name and address information
In defined cases, identification of the most probable physical site and related site information
A structured output containing the analyzed equipment, available source information and proposed matches
Results that can be used to improve installed base data quality and customer visibility

Required skills

Strong hands-on Python and SQL skills
Experience working with Snowflake
Practical experience with entity resolution, record linkage, fuzzy matching or customer/master data matching
Experience processing, normalizing and matching company, customer and address data
Ability to design and implement matching logic for cases where a unique identifier is not available
Strong data engineering and/or data science capabilities
Ability to independently take a PoC from solution design to a working implementation
Fluent English
