Project description:
The Clients comprehensive and modular solution covers all the core MES functionalities across the value chain, from order handling through customer service management. The business and investments are rapidly growing in this area. Therefore there is a need for a Lead Engineer to strengthen the team. In this role you will be a key person to ensure successful delivery with the project team.
Your responsibilities:
- Creating work plans and cost estimates for the project in consultation with respective Project Managers and ensuring quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost
- Supervising and coordinating the project engineering team, including subcontractors
- Ensuring engineering complies with contractual regulations and aligning with project management on risks and opportunities
- Reviewing and approving technical deliveries
- Participating in project meetings with customers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and to interpret their needs
- Hands on work in the project deliveries, such as application configuration and supporting the commissioning
Requirements:
- 5+ years project execution experience in the implementation of MES solutions, ideally with a background in the pulp & paper industry
- Ability to deliver complex software projects under demanding timelines. Being flexible with changes and keeping the customer focus
- Clear understanding of architecture, data integration and interfacing across distributed control and information systems Knowledge of PL/SQL and relational databases (for example Oracle)
- Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English. Finnish and Swedish are an advantage
- Ability to travel from time to time, mostly within Finland
