History

This is how Finitec board member Mr. Markku Karas recalls the birth of Finitec:

“A well-known English IT recruitment company interrupted me as I was sending Christmas greetings to our clients. Pekka was offering me skilled consultants (and as no stranger to calls from recruitment agencies) I thought that I would get rid of him by giving him a real challenge of an assignment. I assumed I would not hear from him again. However, soon after I started receiving emails with details of suitable candidates and quickly we ended up doing business together. Later on Pekka mentioned his plans to return to Finland and it became clear that here was a real opportunity to build something exciting and new for the Finnish IT market. The idea was to combine the open Finnish approach to business with English efficiency and really offer a breath of fresh air to both clients and IT pros within Finland and abroad. We knew it would be a winning combination. The growth figures below tell the rest of the story:
